We're getting frosty now. Your move seems smarter with each passing day. But the phone number you provided -- 415 101 7503 -- doesn't work. What's with that?

Hi
you have to dial # 011-52-415-101-7503
it took me 3 times to get through. If not working it means cell phone is off. The message system is in spanish, = ) so wait till tone. (Dad change you greeting message on the cellphone)

I spoke to Sami so it must work. I will change my greeting once I figure out how it works. I had to buy some new time yesterday which means that 300 pesos lasts me about a month which I guess is not bad given the convenience of it all. Furthermore the deals they offer are that you buy 300 and get 600 pesos worth so it might even be cheaper. Don't expect a call from me however because calling outsid emy area is very dear whereas I am only charged local air time for incomiing from wherever and you have access to much cheaper rates than I. I keep it on all the time so unless you call when I am asleep or can't get the damn thing out of its holder in time to reply, or I am charging it -- it should work.

Thanks SC. I had incorrectly assumed that Mexico was also country code 1 -- NAFTA and all that -- and of course I complained rather than look it up. - JL
